Hearts to help millions
Undying devotion to our country
Men and women sign up knowing the cost
As they serve for freedom for
You and Me
Until that day
No more they’re seen.
Kids are left crying
Heads hang low
A song is sung for an often unknown
National hero.
Reading is FUNdamental. So I hope you have fun reading about me and my adventures through life. As the title alludes, you'll read about Chicago dating experiences - for me and my friends. (Note: Some of the names will be changed to protect the idiots, any resemblance to you or a loved one is only coincidental and should not be taken personally. However, if there is a nugget of wisdom gleaned from my writings, please take it. It's not good to walk around in such disarray.)

Supermarket Flowers
"Oh I'm in pieces, it's tearing me up, but I know
A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved
So I'll sing Hallelujah . . ." ~Ed Sheeran
I don't have any entries from 2017. It just so happens, the quote above is a quote I put on Facebook this date last year. It was my own expression as my friends and family laid a friend to rest at home. It is very representative of my 2017. It was full of death and life. A lot of loved ones and people I knew died, while others got married and babies were born. It was one of my most emotional years yet.
I think I'm finally realizing how emotional of a year it was. Things just kept happening and I just kept dealing. Well now I'm breathing. It feels good to be writing again. I can't believe it's been almost two years since my last entry. I've had ideas for entries but just didn't write them down. That speaks to the insanity of my life these days.
I'll keep this post short and leave it with a poem I wrote while I was on my blog hiatus. I look forward to sharing more from my single life. #LifeIs4Living
Realize
Why didn't I realize
How much
Too soon
Too hurt
Did I jump the gun
Was I scared
Too much
Too soon
Where do I go
Is it real
Too scared
Too much
A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved
So I'll sing Hallelujah . . ." ~Ed Sheeran
